AGM Report
On April 30, 2022 we held our Annual General Meeting. Trevor Fowler opened the meeting. Bob Spyksma led us in the invocation and prayer. The Minutes and Financial Statements of the 2021 AGM were accepted as presented. Trevor read the President’s Report on behalf of Ed Klassen as he was not well. Ed’s report spoke of the blessing of Carl & Elaine’s years of service, their recent retirement, and the hiring of new staff Joel Pasma to the Plant Manager position, Malinda Rogusky as office Manager and Eric Boucher as Assistant Manager. In his report, Ed shared that he would be stepping down from the President position and from the board due to battling cancer. Trevor took a few moments to honour Ed & Anita for their many years serving at the Gleaners and expressed our love and prayers for them. Joel & Malinda took the opportunity to publicly thank Carl & Elaine for all they did to help set them up in their new roles. They feel they are standing on the shoulders of giants and pledge to do their best to carry on the legacy of faithful service to the Lord at the Gleaners. The Committee reports were shared. Judy Bergen, of Love Guatemala was our guest speaker. She shared slides, statistics, and stories of how Gleaners soup mix has blessed many in Guatemala. Don Sears led in a closing prayer after which we sang the Doxology. |
