On April 24th, 2024 we packaged our 250,000,000th meal at FVG since opening in 2001! Now in our 23rd year we have sent shipments to 76 countries! What a blessing to get to be involved in this amazing ministry with so many others who have contributed over the years to bring us to this significant milestone. Volunteers, Donors, Prayer Partners, Distribution Partners, Staff, Service Providers and more - each one is appreciated. Hungry children and families have been fed and the gospel has been shared. To God be the glory!

Open Saturdays May-Oct 5th (except long weekends) Bookings available for 5-35 people.  Individuals do not need to book.

Group Bookings available for one evening a week Sept-Oct.  Great for church small groups!

The Problem:  
When the dicer is running it can be hard for our volunteers to hear each other, making it difficult to visit while working.

The Solution:
Box in the dicer in its own room.  Use conveyors to get product to and from the dicer eliminating the need for even one person to be inside the room affected by the noise.  This solution also lowers the height that buckets of product will need to be lifted, a further benefit to our volunteers.

Estimated Cost:
$60,000.  This will include building waterproof walls around the dicer and a conveyor system.  We will also have a camera installed to monitor the process from outside the room.  

New Stools: $1500
For volunteers who need to sit while trimming vegetables.  Many of the stools we have are wooden and rotting. The new stools will be metal with a vinyl covered cushion making them easy to clean. And they will stack, taking up less floor space.

New Knives: $3000

Nametag Wall: cost to be determined
Many of our volunteers want us to bring the nametags back.  We are looking at copying the system two of the Ontario Gleaners use.

We are so very thankful for those who are praying for the ministry here at Fraser Valley Gleaners.  You are the unsung heroes!  Scripture tells us “in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God.”  (Philippians 4:6)  "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us." (1 John 5:14)  And we know that "apart from Him we can do nothing." (John 15:5)  One day, on the other side of eternity, we will see the work that was accomplished by those who prayed for us.  Thank you, prayer partners, truly, we couldn’t do this without you!  Thank you!

How absolutely amazing it is that the God of the universe, the Holy, Holy, Holy One, turns His ear towards us! He who gives us our daily breath encourages us to partner with Him!  To God be the glory!  Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.  Psalm 115:1

Fraser Valley Gleaners is 100% donor driven.  Your donation dollars help us feed some of the world's hungry by converting surplus food into a nutritious vegetable soup mix.  Funds donated are used to operate our facility and enable us to give our food aid away free of charge to those in need.  Charitable tax receipts will be issued for tax purposes on your donations.
