Soup Mix to the Philippines
Richard and his team from New West Community Church picked up, sponsored and shipped out 100 boxes of Soup Mix and Apple Snacks for the Feeding Program of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Palawan, Philippines. The second destination was Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Club in Puerto Princesa. Both groups fed children and shared the Bible with the kids. Puerto Princesa is a city of 255,000 people and is in the western province of Palawan in Philippines. |
2020 Celebration/Fundraiser Event
Our annual celebration was very different this year! We missed having a delicious meal together and seeing everyone in person. Instead, we worked at and posted an online event in September for you to watch. A 45-minute program with guest speaker, Kirsten Stokes from ‘Fire Over Africa’ sharing how the Gleaner soup mix was used in the poorest areas of Ethiopia. If you didn’t get a chance to watch – this event is still online by going to FVG web page and clicking on the Program Icon. Proceeds for this event exceeded $70,000. Thank you to all who participated and generously donated to this ministry. Thank you to David Ediger Design for all his time and work on this project. |

The 1 Hour FVG Workout
Loading a 40 foot container in less than one hour is a test for the "Gleaner Strongman!" In 2020 ten shipping containers were loaded and shipped for Humanitarian Aid overseas. Each container was filled with 1.2 million meals. As soon as the container backs into our loading dock, eight guys start flexing their muscles. These dedicated guys have their assigned tasks and positions and start lifting the 50 lb. boxes to make a wall of cardboard filled with nutritional food into the container. There is laughter, encouragement and teasing and in one-hour, 1000 boxes of dried soup mix and apple snacks are placed with perfection. The group then prays for God’s protection over this container, for the organization sponsoring the load and for the many people receiving this food. Thanks guys! |
